on draft at brewery, great malty rich IPA with an intense floral flavor profile, very impressive stuff! boto (2261) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - MAR 15, 2012
Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a cloudy, coppery color. There was a negligible off-white head that left just a bit of lacing. It has a nice nose. Malts and pine hops are predominant . The taste is very good. It is extremely smooth. Pine hops to the taste, but somewhat subdued. There is some sweetness and it is not as bitter as some IPA’s Some caramel and fruits to the taste also. A very good beer. philvil (176) - Massachusetts, USA - APR 24, 2010
the reviews from 2 years ago make this sound like a good one, but something is missing from the latest batch. murky tan with no head... hoppiness was underwhelming and overall flavor was bland. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - SEP 9, 2008
Draft @ Willi. Pours a dark, bright / clear ruby color; light tan head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing; nice-looking pour. Black cherry maltiness, oily tropical fruits, and resiny, soft bitterness in the aroma. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy, intensely resiny and oily tropical fruits, cherries, and mineral bitterness; gorgeous, fresh and oily hop character; solid, complex hop bitterness, no astringency; black cherries and just a touch of overt malty sweetness at the core; another beautiful IPA from Willi. Very very drinkable, and so close to being jaw-dropping; a touch sweet when it warms. Medium finish: black cherries, soft citrus / mineral bitterness, and some toasty malts; nicely dry with some toastiness. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - AUG 21, 2008
Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of citrus, wildflowers, some pepper. Tastes sweet and citrussy with a spicy finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Murky golden brown with no head. Sweet caramel and light brown sugar nose, plenty of orange citrus. Thick, sweet caramel flavors, good herbal hop bite, a hint of hazelnut. Nice - not your typical IPA, for sure. Rahbysahn (3) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 20, 2007 does not count
Wonderfull hop aroma and flavor. Evendently they have inprooved since the last posts on this beer. I found this beer had a nice maltiness and not too bitter bur full of hop flavor. DYCSoccer17 (3705) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 21, 2005
4oz sample at brewpub. Nice floral, sweet, pine-like hoppiness in the nose. Hazy dark-copper color with and off-white head and good staying power. Harsh harsh bitterness with hops to start. Kicks you in the teeth. Some sweet, sugary malts follow lightly. More hoppiness lingers in the finish with a roasted resinous character coming through. A bit too aggressive to start for my liking. I prefer the IPA SQuared. Cottrell (72) - Connecticut, USA - AUG 11, 2005
Pours a very murky, muddy dark amber, almost brown, with a thick frothy head. Aroma is pungent pine, lemongrass, orange rinds, with some underlying malt notes. Flavor starts with some hop sweetness, citrus, some toffee notes come and go, before a hop assault of pine needles, grassy, floral notes, and a healthy dose of citrus grapefruit and orange peels. Insanely drinkable, had no problem drinking a growler by myself the next day.
