On tap in pint glass: pours golden orange with a thin white head. Aroma is light citrus and a distinct rye aroma. Taste is cracker malt, light citrus, spice-like flavor from the rye, and caramel. Medium body, nice bitter hop finish, perfect carbonation. Quite tasty! AirForceHops (7240) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Visited the brewpub 1/25/2014. Sample glass shows a translucent amber color. Nose is mostly spicy rye and pine hops. The best thing in this brew is the balance. The spicy rye malt and pine hops marry well with the level of toasted grain and biscuit malt. The rye lingers a good amount after the sip. Medium body with correct carbonation level. Decent. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 8, 2013
Tap. Pours a mostly clear light copper body with a small wispy off-white head. The nose is a great mix of earthy rye and citrusy hops. A touch of caramel sweetness. The flavor strikes the balance perfect as well. The spicy rye plays off the bright citrusy hops really well. Lingering rye bread finish. Light bodied, yet packed with flavor, soft fizzy carbonation. Really great drinkable beer. IPA level hops, but with the interesting twist of rye malt. BeerandBlues2 (13323) - Escondido, California, USA - JUN 23, 2013

Draft at the brewpub. Light orange amber color. Not much to it at first. After two IPAs this seems a bit vapid. Suffices as a decent sessionable drink. A bit rough around the edges. (#4907, 1/15/2013) Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - JAN 8, 2013
on draft at brewery, you cant really go wrong with rye and ipa. These guys really make a great ipa and rye adds such a great spicy component. Good thickness, awesome pale ale jkwood04 (5448) - Connecticut, USA - DEC 24, 2010
On tap. Pours hazy golden/amber with a small head. Aroma of spice and light hops. Flavor of dough, hops, and some spiciness at the end. Full bodied. iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - DEC 18, 2010
Listed at 5.6%, growler from the brewery. Hazy medium golden with a 1/2 finger off-white head, low retention. Aroma of some sweaty Cascade hops, moderate sweet rye notes, and some caramel malt, though not too spicy. Flavor still has plenty of Cascade hops adding a bit of a floral note with moderate rye presence, some toasty malt and light caramel following. Bitterness peaks at a 5 in the dry finish. Light to moderate carbonation with a medium body. Pretty good, considering I get whiny when Cascades are used Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JUN 26, 2010
Serving: Draft at the brewpub
It pours a cloudy gold color with a pillowy white head. The nose has some spicy rye notes, grains, a good bit of florals, and some pale malt. The florals really come across in the taste. Light honeysuckle, pale malt, and an understated rye note round out the flavors. Light to medium body with soft carbonation and a lingering floral finish. A very nice rye ale. All I would ask for is a touch more rye.
