On tap at the brewery: Pours a dark brown / black with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, molasses, and cocoa. Taste is nice and thick, with lots of roasted malt and a little sweetness / raisin from the molasses. Usually WBC has pretty weak stouts, but this one is really nice. Sampled at the brewery. Pours almost black with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted, chocolate, and bread from the malts, some light oyster and molasses notes, and a light bitterness. Draft at the Harvest Beer Dinner. Standout beer of the event by far. This is the best sub 6% stout ive ever had by a long shot. Pours pitch black with brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, mollases, and ash. Taste is fantastically roasty and robust with mineraly notes and superb thick rich mouthfeel. I really enjoyed this beer.
