Draft @ Willi. Pours a hazy, murky orange-brown color; light tan head with patchy fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of honey, coriander, bananas, and caramelized sugar in the aroma; aromatic, floral, and soft-edged. Solid levels of carbonation. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy Belgian sugars, honey, coriander, and brown sugar; very soft presence, aside from a touch of alcohol at the edges; very chewy, generous saison; light mineral bitterness. Solid. Lengthy finish: honey, Belgian sugar, and light, toasty spicing. Cletus (6368) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 5, 2008
Pours amber with a thin white head. Smells of sugar, toasty, some hints of wildflowers. Tastes sweet and spicy with some citrussy hints. Immy (1958) - Virginia Beach, USA - AUG 21, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Murky gold with a film of a white head. Big fruity yeast in the nose, biscuit and sugar cookie, lightly dusty. Decent saison flavors, yeasty and fruity, some toastiness. Could be a tad drier - it would be interesting to see what age could do here.
