Draft at the source. Clear gold color, bright white edge head. Aroma of grapefruit and pineapple. Taste is grapefruit, tropical fruit. Very nice. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 19, 2008
(growler) Small beige head atop cloudy dark amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, some grapefruit, light bread/caramel. Taste is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, light caramel. Very flavorful, and solid bitterness, but doesn’t seem on the high end in IBUs. Medium body, some resin. MartinT (10036) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 29, 2005
Earthy oranges protrude from the unfiltered haze, as pungent dirty yeasty and hop bitterness lathers the giddy tastebuds...Resinous, woody hoppiness lays the foundation for a dry-hopped, vegetal and herbal variety on top, all propelled by caramel and dried apricot sweetness...Passionately unique, bubbling with personality... nimbleprop (8743) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 29, 2008
This beer was very drinkable but also snuck up on me and knocked me out. Pours from the growler a hazy orange, amber color with a soapy white head. Aroma is all citrus, orange and grapefruit mostly. Flavor was more of the same, flowers, citrus but also some nice malt anchoring the back. Finish is lasting bitterness and slightly thick on the tongue. I enjoyed drinking this. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of citrus and dry hops. Tastes citrussy and spicy with a slightly bitter finish.

A white cover tops very hazy amber looks. Intensely coniferous and perfumey nature. The hops complexities keep on coming sniff after sniff. Sweaty columbus like hops are not among my favourites by any means, but this one is just so aromatic and using them well and in a complex manner that I can only stare, smell and savor. Soapy and grapey marriage with the big malt backbone complement the richness. Firm medium body, rolling happily on the tongue. Fresh spruce/pine come out strong in the finish while the considerable citrib bite kisses you goodbye. That’s a winner! Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - APR 22, 2014
pint at willibrew, Finally get to try the VEG IPA. It does have a strong grapefruit flavor. Much more on the flavor than the aroma. Bitter finish, good mouthfeel and body, the right amount for a seriously hop forward IPA muzzlehatch (4969) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 31, 2005
New England Road Trip Easter ’05 with MartinT, tiggmtl and Rastacouere, beer #43. Small tap sample at the brewpub. Hazy light sunny amber with just a wee bit o’ head...massively fruity/spicy nose, citrus, honeydew and perhaps some pine...pungent, well-balanced sweet-sour body, grapefruit jousting with brown sugar...stinging finish, full body. Another excellent IPA from this hoppy trip. tiggmtl (4543) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - APR 1, 2005
Orange-pine citrus with underlying, supporting sweet malts. Opaque, orange-tan coloured body with decent off-white head that recedes to cover with some lace. Strong orange-pine, spicy grapefruit hop flavour with fairly assertive hop bitterness and sweet underlying malts. Medium-light body with low carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere. goldtwins (4319) - Nesconset, New York, USA - NOV 27, 2006
Poured a hazy copper color with an orange tint and small off-white head. The aroma had a decent hop strength to it. Big piney and sweaty notes with caramel malt running underneath. Piney and citrus hop flavor that was less present than in the aroma. Moderately bitter finish.
