Bottle from Nancy’s Deli, Lymm. Darker amber coloured with next to no head. Very fruity ale, medium to full-bodied and slightly tangy with its tropical flavours.

BlackHaddock (7730) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2016
500ml bottle into a UK pint sleeve at home on 6th Jan 2016. Light amber/golden bodied beer, clean and clear looking, on top an off-white blanket of foam. Hoppy nose and taste, malts in the background and calming the hops down a little. Refreshing and semi-bitter, the light malt content again not letting the hops run away with the flavouring. Very drinkable and fitting reward for myself after a successful day doing chores and ’stuff’.

Cask at the brewery. Old style English IPA.... this isn’t your new wave hop bomb American IPA, but is instead a pleasant English bitter with a stronger hop profile. Refreshing and very sessionable.

Bottle; old gold; foam fountain on opening, some sediment despite a careful pour; thin head; lovely peppery fruit aroma; dryish hops, subtle pepper again on the tongue; a nice bitter finish; the more I drank of this pleasingly old-fashioned beer the more I enjoyed it

Bottle. Bronze with a slightly bitter edge. Some hops and a small head. Trys to pretend that it is an IPA but it isn’t really. Not very exciting.

Hoppy and fruity with a pleasant aftertaste, this is a flavoursome beer that I’d like to try again

Another solid effort from the Wincle people. Cask at The Railway, Macclesfield. Clear gold with a good white head, lots of lacing. Not spectacular but a fine example of an English beer. Nice clean hop aroma, well balanced bitter finish. Fine indeed.

A Mes rate. Cask at the Railway View, Macclesfield.
Clean amber gold with a really good creamy white head. A straight down the line but superbly balanced drinkable strong bitter. Great mix of earthy malt and fresh grassy hops with plenty of resiny feel and a faint hint of pepper and spice. Lovely lengthy bitter and pepper finish. Really good.

Fruit and hop aromas. Golden coloured slightly hazy in appearance and hoppy. A little dryness and bitterness in a crisp malt finish.
