Bottle from Nancy’s Deli, Lymm. Amber with a large bubbly-frothy head. Quite active out of the bottle and provides a mild fizz in the palate alongside a strong fruitiness with a citrus notes. Its aroma is similar. likeatrainwreck (573) - Stockport, Cheshire, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2015
Cask at the brewery. Pale copper/amber beer with white head. Pleasant mild fruity aromas and flavours. A bit more restrained on the malt than other English bitters. Bit of a mash up between an APA and a bitter. Nice and refreshing. Made even better by meeting the guy on the label at the local pub afterwards! Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) A clear pale amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of grain, straw, peach, lemon peel and grassy hops. Taste of straw, barley, peach, blackberry and grassy, peppery hops. Light bodied and a soft carbonation. A dry hop bitterness in the finish. Medium creamy pale beige head. Clear coppery body. Light floral blackberry aroma with herbal notes. Dry-sweet fruity blackberry taste with resiny notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth, flat mouthfeel. Dryish floral blackberry aftertaste with wooden dusty strawy notes. Lovely, drinkable beer, with vivid flavours. Flavours are sweet, dry biscuit with a very peppery, nettle palate. Light blackberry and lemon with a dry finish. Some soapiness. OK. Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 29/12/12.
Clear light golden with a medium sized off white head that retains well.
Nose is malt, grain, light hops, some fruit.
Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a little hop bitterness in the finish.
Average, drinkable bitter, a little on the bland side. dogbomb (1215) - ENGLAND - NOV 6, 2012
Bottle. Clear golden ale with a decent creamy head. Nose is like confectionery peaches and some grassiness. Mouth is fizzy, but a bit bland and tasteless aside from a acidic bitter. Thin and a bit overly subtle for me.
