Cask, gravity at the brewery, Saturday 20th October 2012 Pours light chestnut with just a smattering of bubbles across the surface. Good aroma, plenty of hops showing. In the mouth this has a distinctive autumnal feel, nutty, mellow and with a slightly rustic quality, however the hops used ensure that this is far from run of the mill. I think I can detect the maple syrup but it has been added in a sensible quantity and adds a subtle sweetness. Another very nice beer from a great brewery A7 A5 T7 P4 Ov14 3.7
Cask conditioned at The Nags Head, Reading, Berks. Brown to chestnut with cream head. There is a malty sweetness to this, some plummy notes, some prune. There is a background hoppy note, fruits again. It's a reasonable brown ale. kwik-lime (2061) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2017

Pint at Tap on the Line. Pours russet / amber. Soft nose of toast and caramel. More of that on the taste, with something earthy in the back. A little thin, and not much head, and needed.to be slightly better carbonated for me. Decent nonetheless. Grumbo (4114) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2016
