Dark brown color with a average to large, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, flowers, perfume, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hop bitter, good balanced, dry, burnt malt and licorice notes. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Ear Beer Festival 2011. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some toast and mild ashyness as well. Flavour is liquorice, ashes, fruits, mild toast and toffee. Pleasantly balanced and quite nice.

Cask at Pigs Ear. Opaque black beer. Bubbly tan head. Smooth silky palate. Silky dark malt supports resinous hops. Lovely hops which are mixture of pine and citrus. Light dry finish. Lovely and highly drinkable.
Bottle at home in London. Pours black-red with a foamy, beige head. Big and juicy pine aroma with nice, moderate roasted malts. Medium to strong sweet flavor, some dark malts, light caramel, pine, grapefruit. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Clear very dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and rather hoppy - pine and citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 010813
