Cask: Regular.
Our first beer and we have high hopes that one day our pump clip will become as recognisable around Windsor as the Guards bearskin hats that the design it is based upon. Guardsman Best Bitter is a copper-coloured session strength ale with a tangy taste, smoothed by oak conditioning and a really fresh hop. It is brewed with premium Maris Otter pale malt and a blend of Pilgrim, Styrian Golding and Fuggles hops.

Cask at the Horseshoe NW3. Copper coloured bitter, fairly standard mix of malt and hops with neither dominant, absolutely nothing wrong with it, disappeared quickly so probably good for a session, but also not memorable. More character in the Garter from the same brewer.

Cask. Copper color with a modest white head. The aromas light, a bit grainy, grassy, some forest fruits. The taste is lightly bitter, basic. The duration short, the finish dry. Overall, an OK bitter.

Cask at Dean Swift. It pours hazy amber, with a thin off-white head. The nose is nut, caramel, wood and toffee. The taste is wood, nut, leather, leaf, dust, light smoke and caramel, with a decent dry-bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not bad, just unexciting.

Pint at the Old Manor in Bracknell. Small but attractive head over an amber brown beer. Smooth, bitter and slighlty oakey, with a little hops. Aroma is hoppy and a touch fruity. Its quite reasonable and the sweetness takes precedence over the bitter after a while. Quite a decents Berkshire LocAle.
