Copper, clear, no head; biscuity malt and earthy hops; a little nutty; whilst the dry, moderately bitter finish is softer than most, presumably down to the oak, you’d be hard pressed to describe this as anything other than an ok trad bitter.

Cask at Spoons in Heathrow Teeminal Two. What a way to say goodbye to the UK than an astounding pint of bitter. This beer, of which really o had little expectation was a joy to drink. Sure the flavours are not complex and it settled very badly but it is EXTREMLY gluggable and I think a great bitter should do just that. It should make u want more, make the conversation flow better and taste comforting. I loved this. Well done Windsor. NallePalle (727) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - MAY 22, 2017
Bottle @ Legoland Windsor. Excellent, malty bitter; well balanced and gentle. My wife finds features of mushroom in aroma.

Three cask, hand-pulled pints in the excellent Admiral Benbow, on the beach at Chapel St Leonards, Lincolnshire: 15th Jan 2017. Lovely looking beer, amber/copper body wise, beige head that lasted. On the malty side and semi-sweet, balanced by the hop blend that calms the sweetness down nicely. Some caramel hints in both the nose and taste, piney bitterness from the hops. Cask @ Hart & Spool, Borehamwood. Hazy deeper amber coloured with a frothy head. Crisp, medium bodied, with a mild pleasant general fruitiness with citrus orange involved. The_Osprey (9670) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2016
Cask HP at The William Morris Hammersmith as Windsor and Eton Guardsman. Dark orange brown, still, hazy, small foamy beige head. Aroma is light and airy, some lavender soap and simple sugars. Body is smooth, light with tingly carbonation. Taste is fairly light and watery, sodawater, thin bready malts, tangy drying flowery hops. From the colour of this you’d assume plenty of supporting malt, but it’s a bit lacking in the malt department. Quite a decent hop presence but watery and lacking a little oomph. Alright and drinkable, but not moreish.
