Keg at The Spout Cafe, Leek. A hazy amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, slight toffee, pine, some orange, a little peach, a hint of papaya and subtle grassy hops. Taste of caramel, fruit, a little toffee, resin, some orange, a hint of peach and subtle grassy hops. Medium bodied and an oily carbonation. A long, slight malty, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. This is more resinous and piney more than fruity, which I expect more from citra. Still solid though.

Tap at Beer Hunters. Dark murky amber color, creamy off-white head. Piney nose with citrus. Medium-bodied. Citrus, caramel, yeast. Malty, stuffy. Meh.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazed brown with an offwhite head that fades. Aromas of roasty malts, citrus fruits, slight peach and coriander. Flavour is very malty for an IPA. Citrus comes through ok though but not much else. Not the best but not the worst.

mecafilo (215) - Perugia, ITALY - JUN 1, 2016
Bottle @ home. Pours with a bright orange colour, small off-white head. Aroma is rich in Citra aromas: citrus, herbs, some grass; quite malty, too. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. IPAs should be rated when fresh, and I suspect this wasnt very; I hope to come back on this rate!

@Fte de la Bire 2016, Vevey - light hazy amber-orange beer with a decent foam left; hoppy aroma of tea and red fruits; quite sweet, full-bodied; decently bitter; long aftertaste of tea, pineapples, a bit marmalade-like

Bottle. Resiny hoppy nose. Deep gold. The initial tartness gives way to sweetness and malt very quickly. It loses it a bit on the follow through therefore. Nice but needs more citra to balance it.

allanmb (199) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2016
Very disappointing. Pours deep amber with decent white head. Aroma of malt first and foremost. Hint of hops but nothing much. Decent carbonation and mouth feel but taste is very malt dominant. This is very sweet and not hoppy in the slightest. Finish is sweet and disappointingly not citra-ish at all

330ml served in a english pint glass. A: Pours a clear deep copper color forming a huge and creamy light yellow head with super persistence and tons of soapy and lingering lacings left in the glass. S: Nose is very grassy and earthy. Strong notes of resin, pine and caramel malts. Crystal malts and dark dry fruits. Resin once again. T: Slightly sweet upfront. Strong notes of crystal and caramel malts. Strong notes of earth, dark dry fruits and resin... Grassy, herby with pine and resin notes... Good and balanced hops bitterness. M: Medium body. Average carbonation. Resin and grass in the aftertaste. Smooth and very balanced bittersweet aftertaste. Impressive. O: Great drinkability. Very honest IPA. Malts have a British character. Hops have an American profile. In the end, a very refreshing and honest IPA. Strong unique character.
