COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Draught only. Available in 23 litre keg and 10 or 20 litre bag-in-box (and in half gallon and gallon containers drawn from the cask at the farm shop).
A medium, still cider made from a blend of apple varieties.
Note: It is believed that the sparkling bottled variants that were labeled as "Sam’s" have been rebranded under the "Sam’s Poundhouse" brand.

A smooth refreshing, clean cider with a strong apple taste.
Sam’s Medium Cider is named in honour of Sam Inch who started the tradition of cider making on the Hatherleigh Road site. It is a clear refreshing drink, made in the traditional manner using only the finest ingredients and the latest machinery to ensure a consistent, delicious product. It is between the taste of dry and sweet and is a very popular cider.

Draught at The Queens Arms, Brixham, Devon. Pale straw with no head. There is a pleasant, sharp apple note to this, quite refreshing if a tad sweet. Quite light on the palate. It’s okay.

Draught at Ye Olde Cider Bar. Clear yellow-gold body, dotted spots on the glass, shiny naked surface. Mid-sweet apples and earth on the nose. Taste of Juicy fruits, apples and pears, tart and sweet. Smooth and clean in the mouth. Pretty alright, even for a very restrained cider drinker. (Newton Abbot 28.04.2017).

Draught @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival, Sep 15. Pours clear yellow with light scrumpy aroma. Taste is tight and dry with a nice light fruitiness. Not bad.

On cask at Henry’s Bar, Paignton, Devon. Appearance - pale golden with no head and no bubbles. Nose - dry tangy apples. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light bodied with a tangy texture and a dry tangy finish. Overall - decent cider and very drinkable given the ABV.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2015 Draught keg @ the Queens Arms . Brixham ,Devon. The rednecks at this pube think their warm low boost golds are ’vibrant ’ and hoppy . Jesus Christ man get a clue or palate . This cider was adequate in the farmhouse genre or style . Acidic tart apple with some sugar notes . Medium balance as an ok dryness lurks on the finish . An easy 6% cider to drink but . Get a clue Moran West Country .

Box from Tally Ho, Devon pub. Very clear, glassy, and flat. Fresh apply aroma is sweet-tart with crisp Ladysmith apple character. Smooth slightly sticky palate. Very good level of acidity and a nice rustic astringency that dries out the tongue and makes it want more. Juicy. Very enjoyable cider overall, again one that probably deserves a higher rating than what I gave it.

From the barrel from Middle Farm , courtesy Rastacouere. Clear straw colour. Quite agricultural aroma with a modicum of farmyard and manure. More fruity on the palate. Sweetish mouthfeel with restrained tannins. A pleasant, easy drinking farmhouse cider.
