UPDATED: MAY 2, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. She said it was a seasonal. Creamy mouthfeel. Very flavourful. A little sweet, quite malty with some rye feel. Low bitterness. The flavour is a little caramelly, but not toffee or butterscotch. Hazy red/brown colour. Small but stable light brown head. 6 3 7 4 18

Bottled (bought at the brasserie): Dark-malty, a bit toasted nose with a tinge of ground coffee, reddish-amber coloured, slowly collapsing off-white head; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; moderate dark malty finish, underpinned by some bitterness and a discreet fruitiness, a tinge of cacao is also detectable. Good and pleasant..........
