500ml Bottle as a gift from the Lake District, England:
This one was surprisingly enough quite a pleasant and easy to drink beer, not a bad effort for such a random bottle and one that I enjoyed trying. The beer had quite a nice biscuit malt and toffee flavour with the butterscotch sweetness complimenting this nicely; a decent effort despite not being on that’s going to blow you away or anything like that.

Cask at The Big Bull Inn.Amber coloured, with a small white head. Hoppy aroma, some citrus, nice beer. (2-1-2015)

Bottle. Sparkling gold body. Medium white head with excellent retentive properties. Tangerine, dough, freshy crusty white bread, oranges. Bittersweet. Dry finish. Average.

50cl bottle from Ambleside Wines. Appearance - amber with a decent head though it disappears quite quickly. Nose - toffee and the merest hint of biscuit. Taste - again promising biscuit but really toffee is the main note. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture but I wanted more bitterness on the finish. Overall - decent but needs a cleaner finish.

I’m just not a fan of the buttery, caremelly butterscotch hops flavor that this beer has. Makes it hard to finish this 500ml bottle.

Personal favourite from the Winster Valley, had this at the brown horse, light golden amber in colour, good all round balance with a tangy fruit undertone

50 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is figs, fruity and toffee malty. Butterish, toffee malty and towards breadish. Bitter, light butterish and dry bitter finish.

worldbeertaste (1806) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2012
Medium amber orange with a frothy lacy somewhat lasting white head. Smells of leaves, citrus (orange) with a sweet malt caramel. Medium thin body. Nice sweet caramel malt overall taste, light fruity berry with a chewy biscuit dry bitter finish. Overall nice solid caramel malt taste well balanced with the hop finish.

Open All Hours, Keswick. Amber coloured with toffee and caramel flavours and a bitter woody finish.
