COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bushwhacker is an American Ale, and who should know better than "Mrs. WinterCoat"? The color is red amber, and the delicate maltiness of this beer harmonizes perfectly with the typical citrussy freshness of Cascade hops. Right from the start, Niels Jørn decided this beer was "a keeper".

Hazy dark amber colour. Pleasant fruity and hoppy nose. The flavour is wonderfully fruity but also quite complex with nutty malt and hints of smoke. Great finish with American hops (Cascade). I like Wintercoats beers more and more...

Very, very, very fruity in my opinion, but it does not make it bad, otherwise, the fruit ingredientes put a nice aroma and flavor into this beer. Although the beers of Wintercoat are quiet expensive, do not let the price tag avoid you purchasing them, because they are all the money worth.

I had this draft, but lost my rating, so here it goes bottled:
A nut brown beer with a huge light brown head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by hops of American origin, but also with light notes of nuts, fruit, and caramel in the background. The flavor is sweet again with strong hop notes - giving it a great bitterness, but also nutty and flowery notes.

MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 9, 2005
Handpumped. Aroma starts off a bit farty, but it turned out OK. Otherwise refreshing grassy aroma. Quite clear copper colour, almost no head. Quite bitter at first. Very aromatic with a refreshing sourness/acidity.

Pernille (518) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 30, 2005
(Draft at Fynske Øldage) Very hoppy aroma. Unclear copper color. No head. A good balance of malty sweetness and hoppy bitternss. Good example of the style.
