(On tap) There ain’t many Double IPAs worldwide, and certainly not Danish ones. This comes with no less than four hop varieties. Lovely, aromatic, spiced, hoppy nose. Quite sweetish, but never cloying. Just as the hops although distinctive never get too much. Actually this is quite harmonious for it’s style. But not a beer for all night. 220505 Sigmund (7534) - Tau, NORWAY - AUG 17, 2005
Draught at Plan B, Copenhagen. Hazy brown colour. Oak, raisins, rye bread and caramel in the aroma. Flavour is moderately oaky with raisins, fairly sweet (too sweet?), decent hops. TBone (17547) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 11, 2005

Nut brown, not much head. Mild yeasty hoppy nose. Toffeeish palate with leather and horseplanket. Flat, some unfermented sugar there. Oily, a bit hoppy - yeasty aftertatse. I wonder they had a right keg in Plan B :) (4/3/5/2/10 2.4).
Re-rated, big bottle 8.2%.
Orange hazy color, small white head. Aroma of horseplanket and leather. Leathery, fruity - lambic-like slightly sour flavor. Carbonated, Champagne-like mouthfeel. (6/3/7/3/12 3.1)

Hazy amber color; medium-sized head. Strangely the aroma shows not only hops, but also some sweat and cheese rind (tomme). Good body strength; sweetish caramel and toffee flavor; again there is a strong cheesy yeast preence; the hops are quite fruity too; the final is well balanced, but also a bit dusty. Enjoyable, but peculiar.

Hazy golden color. It has a very nice hoppy aroma, citrusy and grassy. Good body strength, round mouthfeel, with malt flavor and strong bitterness, quite aromatic; for this strong beer the (almost complete) lack of carbonation is a detriment. The final is good, balanced, but could bite more. Very good, but I’m sure Wintercoat can do better of it.

Hazy blond color. The aroma is not very strong, but very nice, malty hoppy and a bit fruity. The taste is full malty, with a good amount of hopping, fudge impression, good aromatic, ends almost like fudges.

Cask at DBF2005. The nose is dominated by loads of flowery hops, delicious! Golden colored body, medium fluffy head. Flavor of sweet malts backed up by a shitload of hops, very nice bitterness. Not as extreme as many IIPA’s, but very nice. ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 9, 2005
Dark golden, small dissapearing head. Floral bitter hop aroma, hints of tropical fruit and grapefruit. Flavour starts sweet of oranges and kiwi. Strong grapefruity bitter finish. Mads Langtved (2243) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - APR 5, 2005
Tap, brew pub. Bartender told me it was not an IPA? Howeer, it is bitter and aromatic. Citrus aroma dominates. Some alcohol present in the finish. Could take some more hops.
