December 2016 - Bottle share at 1 Canada Square. Many thanks to Dave. As Kerkan Winterkoninkske anno 1878, 8.3%. Dark brown with a slight orange hue, foamy brown head. Aroma is big on the banana bread, also chalky. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste has more banana bread and foam banana sweets, bready malts and a spicy finish with some booze showing up. Quite nice. (3.6) teorn88 (7687) - Rimini, ITALY - DEC 21, 2016

Opaque black. Small off-white head, shows nice retention and some lacing though. Aroma shows a soft yeasty and sugary base with notes of liquorice, slight spiciness and maybe a hint of dried fruits. Not super intense but definitely very nice. Taste has a caramel malts base and sugary sweetness, its both sweet and soft. Notes of liquorice, slight coffee, dark fruits more easily noticeable as the beer warms up. Again a slight hint of spiciness. Overall it’s obviously mostly sweet, but those light coffee notes and a slight hint of bitterness in the aftertaste are bringing good balance. Body is a bit lighter than your average per style, average carbonation, overall very easy but still warmingly soft. Very good stuff jelledebont (141) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 20, 2016
In de geur en smaak iets zoetigs, kruidigs, port-achtigs. De nasmaak is wat bitterder en een beetje gebrand. Lekkere volle smaak. Mooi donker bier. Leighton (22050) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2016

Bottle. Deep brown with big white head. Malty with roasted notes, caramel, raisins and candi sugar. Medium sweet, bit alcoholic with sweetish finish (with bitterness rather from alcohol). Average strong belgian ale. Vignale (3966) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 27, 2016
Flaska från Beergium. Drygt ett år gammal. Mahognyfärgad med lågt men krämigt skum. Fin söt djup doft med fudge, torkad frukt, karamelliserat socker, rostade nötter, choklad, aningen sherry. Mjuk rund smak, komplex och välbalanserad, riktigt snygga söta maltiga smaker i flera lager, lätt aniskryddig med aningen beska. En riktigt fin vintervärmare.
