Beside the ‘Bloesem Bink’, you can also enjoy a second seasonal beer, the ‘Winterkoninkske’. This beer is, just like the others, unfiltered, not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. The ‘Winterkoninkske’ is the ideal beer to make a cold and chilly winter evening pleasant. The ingredients are: seven types of malt (among which rolled oats), two belgian types of hop, brewing liqour and yeast. Our winter beer is a dark and heartwarming beer with a pure, sugary flavour and a long, bitter aftertaste. The alcohol content of this heavy beer is 8,3 % vol.alc.

33 cL bottle. Pours deep brown with almost no head. Nice sweet fruity aroma of roasted malt. Creamy mouthfeel - alcohol is a bit sticky. Roasted malty with bread like taste. Plum and raisins. Fruity finish. Little bitterness.

Ungstrup (38383) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2006
Bottled. A very dark red beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of dusty stored fruits, as well as raisins and plums, caramel, and cloves. The flavor is quite sweet with strong fruity notes, peaches, plums, and grapes, as well as raisins, but also with light notes of cloves, and licorice. The mouthfeel is somewhat sparkling, and the alcohol tingles the tongue.

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma strong alcohol, plum and hops. Yeast, raisins, alcohol and soap in flavour. Some sweet caramel also, but the beer felt somewhat unbalanced in my opinion.

Dark maroon color with a small tan head that quickly disappears. Scant lacing. Aroma has bitter chocolate, raisins, vanilla and roasted malt. Flavor begins with milk chocolate and progresses to dark fruits and spice. Complex and interesting. Good body. Definitely a top Christmas beer.

Warning! Early amateur rating! A dark winter beer. Dark malts with pleasant fruit. Crisp and easy drinking for it’s abv.

A 2008 bottle. Hazy deep amber beer, bubbly cream colour head. Palate is light, good fine carbonation. Smooth malts, little caramel. Nice tangy fruits, dried fruits and a touch of cherry. Whisper of spices. More complex mature fruits on the finish. Aged nicely!

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2007
(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy chestnut brown with a warm, reddish hue and a small, beige head. Warm, delicate aroma of dried and overripe fruits. Quite full-bodied, sweetish vinous with lots of roasted malt and dried fruit. Rather warming alcohol in the finish. Very delicious. 270507
