COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beside the ‘Bloesem Bink’, you can also enjoy a second seasonal beer, the ‘Winterkoninkske’. This beer is, just like the others, unfiltered, not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. The ‘Winterkoninkske’ is the ideal beer to make a cold and chilly winter evening pleasant. The ingredients are: seven types of malt (among which rolled oats), two belgian types of hop, brewing liqour and yeast. Our winter beer is a dark and heartwarming beer with a pure, sugary flavour and a long, bitter aftertaste. The alcohol content of this heavy beer is 8,3 % vol.alc.

Dark color; thin head. Dry malt, very strong caramel, quite high bitterness; gets easily sweeter when warmer. Not bad.

Malziger, weiter trockener Abgang. Cremig, trocken. Test vom 8.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,9,8,8,11,9 - 8,90

Bottle split at L42 Xmas mash ooooop, thanks to Wingmane, 19/12/16. Rich mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is fruit loaf, spice, toffee, nutty, dates, light yeast scrape, brown bread. Taste comprises fruit loaf, hint of banana, toffee, light booze, figs, dates. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with alight boost. Decent enough Belgo Stronge.

harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2010
Bottle in a hotel room in Bruges. Black, thin beige head. Choccy nose, bit of boozyness on aroma. Liquorice, I really don’t like liquorice. Boozy too. Pretty much not in my palate. All wrong for me, but nothing wrong with it.

TBone (17528) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 1, 2004
Bottled
Dark red ruby, quickly vanishing expresso head. Crisp - fruits, berries and malts in the nose, not very strong aroma. Plums, raisins and a bit of brown sugar in the sweetish palate. Very thin and watery. Does not show much ABV or anything else.

yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 9, 2012
Bottle. A brown, clear beer topped by a finger-thick, dense, beige head. The aroma has some solvent hints, with crocant, roasted malts and dark dried fruits. Dried fruits, plums and some roasted malts in the flavor, slightly bitter and alcoholic in the finish. Smooth on the palate, full-bodied. A quite nice beer, but far from world class. 110916

Decent dark winter ale. Slight licorice notes. Light and airy for the style. A little sweet finish. Rated 4/12/10
