15cl bottle sample @ Kerstbierfestival ’11, Essen. Brown with dirty head. Nose : Caramel and honey notes. Sip : mouthful feeling with pillows of carbonation (can’t swallow it properly). Sweet start with a bit sour dryness on the end. Something I would have to try again some time to give a more appropriate rating. omhper (25953) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 19, 2011
Bottled. Cloudy dark brown, huge head. Milky nose. Sweetish with some caramel, medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Citric and milky with lolw bitterness. Too much sour milk. Yves (3169) - Turnhout, BELGIUM - NOV 6, 2011
Hazy amber coloured beer with large off-white head and very few carbonation. Spiced hoppy aroma with some fruity hints. Full sparkling palate. Finish is spicy roasted with some bitter sweet hints and slight dry ending. Nice one. txspartan (1063) - Berchem, BELGIUM - OCT 2, 2011
The brewer claimed it was Rodenbach-like. I disagree. Not a big fan of Rodenbach, I like this one better. Not as sour, more balanced. Abio (1868) - BERMUDA - JUL 27, 2011
Orange amber coloured, with a very big beige head, the head holds nice, sticks also good to the glass. The beer is a bit cloudy, but looks pretty good. Smell is overripe fruits and yeast. Malty, light spiced, dark fruits, caramel. A bit earthy, unpleasant light sourness, wondering if the bottle is still ok. Label says it should be for sure, but have my doubts.

2/07/2011 33cl bottle @ Oostendse Bierjutterij (2011-301) suprchunk (2994) - EffOff, Florida, USA - APR 15, 2011
Pretty clear, reddish brown beer with a ruby glare. Light beige head, unstable and non adhesive. Aroma: caramel, dried fruits, bit sour. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity, sour red berries, green apple skin, a little bitter. Aftertaste: more apple skin, bitter ending. Where’s the winter in this beer? The sweet malts, or the nuts for that matter? Did it get infected? Who knows...
Another big head from the Verhuisbrouwerij series. Not as big as the Lustem. I almost got the whole bottle poured in the glass this time. Ruby/amber color with an off-white creamy head. About four fingers thick. Plenty of huge lacing. Smells of sugar, roasted barley (weird), burnt sugar, and a sour aroma. Little bit of chocolate in the mouth along with a big tartness that screams infection if this wasn’t intended. Don’t really get the hazelnuts in the aroma or the taste. Not really picking up any hops either, which should be pretty prevalent given the listing of so many. A slight tannin bitterness in the aftertaste. Big carbonic bite as well with each swallow. A decent unintentional sour/wild beer. But I don’t think that is what was intended. fonefan (52351) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAR 9, 2011
