Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy amber coloured with tropical fruit and red fruity flavours followed by burnt toffee notes and currants on the warming nutty finish. Superb as normal from Wiper and True!

Bottle. Dark red brown with a pillowing foam. Aromas are rye malts with pine and citrus rind. Nutty with bready yeast and spices. Flavours are sweet sweet rye with pithy pine and grapefruit. Mellow spiced oranges with woody notes. Yeasty and dry on the finish. Good.

DruncanVeasey (8603) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2014
Bottle. Slim-lidded murky bronze inexpertly tipped by The Missus. Fair dos it’s her bottle. Scent a heady waft of Umbongo, papaya, grenadine and soft humid tropical sweetness. Thick and boozy- assumed blind to be 6% and then some- with a perfumed tropical hop wash and resonant lingering nuttiness. Bitter, rounded and floral with heartburn, pine, stewed red apple and peachy Southern Comfort aspects. Capable and aromatic.

Bottle split at Mother Arch during my 40th, thanks to Leighton, 11/10/14. Hazed orange golden with a decent beige covering. Nose is floral hop, bitter orange, spice, bread dough, caramel tunes. Taste comprises citric peel, floral notes, grapefruit, spice, citric tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a hoppt rinse. Ok IPA - not enough hops for my liking and the citricana isn’t quite juicy enough.

Leighton (23090) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2014
Bottle shared during Colin’s bday. From Beerritz. Pours lightly hazed dark gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds juicy, ripening citrus, some melon and mango. Medium sweet flavor with moderate bready malts, some melon, orange, a bit of brown sugar, mild earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming and resinous to finish with slight minerality, further ripe citrus, grapefruit, orange, some tropical fruts. Solid. Very drinkable.

Scopey (16528) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2014
Bottle big thanks to Leighton. It pours lightly hazy golden amber with a decent yellow-white head. The nose is juicy fruit cocktail, five alive fruit juice, sherbet, candy and apple. The taste is crisp, bitter, piney, leather, resin, light spice, brown bread, grapefruit, lemon and pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. All comes together rather well.

Hazy deep amber beer, decent pale cream colour head. Smooth softish palate, very fine carbonation. Smooth malts bring mild sweetness. Whisper of caramel. Hops are a mild citrus and the promised apple and pear notes from the Calypso hops. Light finish. Nicely joined up/ Good stuff.
