Mortlach (2532) - Rome, ITALY - JUN 4, 2017
On tap @Mad for Beer (Rome). Dotata leggermente torbida, schiuma bianca media e persistente. Al naso sentori di uva fragola, pesca, mango e passionfruit. In bocca è perfettamente equilibrata, base di malto media con finale amaro non eccessivo, molto lunga. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Che sorpresa!

Batch 3. Bottle from Oddbins, Balham. pours a murky, hazy orange gold with a thin, troublingly lacking white head. Aroma is dusty, musty with veg and general greenery. Light pine, root veg, orange, lemon... Savoury number but I’m liking the lack of sweetness, makes a pleasant change. Nice.

Bottle picked up from London bridge Oddbins. Translucent golden / light orange coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is nice sweet juicy tropical fruit, mango and passion fruit, pineapple. Bit of an earthy note, straw and white hread. Flavour is composed of sweet juicy fruity hop, pineapple and orange rind, sweet mango. Lovely. A little grainy base malts. Palate is semi-sweet, medium bodies, juicy, moderate carbonation. Really solid.

Hazy gold - amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is semi dry and slightly soft. Modest very fine carbonation. Very light smooth malts, equally light creamy sweetness. Modest hop skunk, mild passion fruit. Touch of marmalade. Light finish. Pretty tasty and easy going.
