Bottle from Good Spirits Co. Wine & Beer, Glasgow. Beer served in 12°C, Duvel Glass. Pours very dark brown. Aroma is alcoholic, sweet, fruity, a little like cherry or plummy liqueur. Taste is very dry, roasted malts, tart, watery coffee, dried fruits, earthy, bitter.

jamestulloch (4328) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 11, 2017
Bottle from Bottle Baron. Dark brown body with ruby highlights and a medium beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of liquorice and charred wood. Flavour of dumpling, brown sugar, berries, Turkish Delight and a hint of cinnamon on the finish. Medium body with a foamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I was really looking forward to this beer and it didn’t disappoint. A complex, warming beer, which I suspect would age well. Lovely.

uckelman (813) - Durham, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2017
Black, opaque. Small tan head. I don’t get a huge aroma from this, but there’s a complex flavor. Raisins, rum, coffee. Not bad at all.

sarauckelman (550) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2017
Black with tan head. Not much aroma, but there’s hints of raisins and rum, with a hint of coffee. More dry than sweet, with hoppiness and burnt coffee being the primary flavors. I don’t taste much of the fruit, or any caramelized sugars, but it may be just a bit too cold at the moment. Palate is a bit harsh on the end.

15/20 smooth port with a nice cheeyness to it. Don't really taste the plum but there's a nice subtle lemon to it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
