COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Milk Stouts are brewed with sugar from cow’s milk to give the beer a sweet, creamy tone. Bristol breweries were once famous for making the best milk stouts around. For our take on the traditional recipe we’ve used copious amounts of chocolate malts and laced it with vanilla to create a milkshake rich, velvety and satisfying dark beer.

MALTS • Maris Otter Pale, Chocolate, Crystal, Roast Barley, Torrefied Wheat.
HOPS • Phoenix

30.04.2014, tap @ Mikkeller & Friends:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, dark malts, sugar, milk chocolate, grain, lactose, hay, caramel. Taste is slightly sweet, dark malts, lactose, caramel, burnt grain, milk chocolate, paper, hay, grass, sugar. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Black with an extremely thin head. Milky stout, but nothing really ’milk shake’ about it, it just has a mild sweetness amongst some light roasted malts.

Keg Euston tap. A lot of these sweet stouts taste like the smell of ant repellant. This is no different but is also pretty deep and creamy. Not bad.

Navers (181) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - APR 27, 2017
Bottle from Hippo Beers, Glasgow. Beer served in 14°C, Duvel Glass. Pours black with very little head. Aroma is sour, sweet and roasted. Sourness dominates in the flavor, there are also hints of lactose, chocolate, vanilla and fresh kefir. Decent milk stout, more sour than sweet.

uckelman (805) - Durham, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2017
Pours black with a ring of tan head and an oily film. Prominent chocolate aroma. Has a fabulous texture---sort of silky and fluffy. Not all that much aroma, but hey, that’s forgivable given how great the rest of it is.

sarauckelman (542) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2017
Thick dark brown with no head. Rich malty aroma. Sweet, creamy flavor and mouthfeel, light and fluffy like whipped cream, with undertones of chocolate and coffee. Sweet without the cloyingness that lactose often has. This is outstanding.

This is a really excellent stout. Its not quite Safe as Milk but it is really good. Its easy to drink. its almost mellow on the mouth but its far from tasteless. I could taste the chocolate and sweetness through it. really lovely.

Poprawne piwko, bez szału, ale dobre. Wielki plus za prawie zupełny brak goryczki, super słodkie <3 Piana marna, aromat nijaki, słabo czuć czekoladkę ale szanuję, kupiłabym je ponowie
