COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle from Systembolaget. Clear reddish brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. A nice surprise. 081212

Aroma: Smell of dried citrus, some grassy, fruity tones. A metallic hint.
Appearance: An amber, dark read clear liquid, rather much foam slowly settling down, with remaining lacerations.
Taste: Clear bitterness but rather fresh and not sweet as most Swedish "julöl" (yule ale, christmas beer).
Palate: Moderate to small sized bubbles, very refreshingly to drink.
Overall: In all a good clean winter brew.
Note: bottle Reviewed 2009-12-21.

Am a fan of Wisbys beer but this years Julbrygd tended to be a bit too flat for my taste but is still a very good beer compared with a lot of others

Pours clear brown with minimal tan head. Aroma of citrus hops, spices, some malt. Taste is quite hoppy with an initial fruity sweetness followed by a gentle lingering bitterness. Light body, low to medium carbonation. A bit boozy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle). Sweet malt aroma with a fruity tone. The taste is fruity malt and hops. Fresh and bitter hops in the finish, which also has elements of slightly smoky roasted malt. Good and nice beer!

Aroma was sort of lacking, nice malty appearance. Taste led with a burst of hop bitterness, but quickly faded into an almost too sweet malty finish. Not bad but not my favorite.
