Clear copper body with a quite large, creamy, off-white head that is very long-lived: it takes a long time before the head settles as a thick layer that laces the glass well. Moderate aroma that is mainly malty and sweet with caramel and pale malts. According to the label this is supposed to be hopped with Saaz and Amarillo (is this another version than the test brew from 2009?), but I don’t get any US hops notes. I hardly get any hop notes at all, to be honest. Some faint sweet fruity notes with hints of citrus, perhaps. Light sweet taste with a moderate but quite sharp bitter finish. The caramel sweetness partially tames the sharpness. In addition to the caramel, the flavours include fruits and some metal. Medium body, moderate to soft carbonation. Not that interesting. No head retention at all, really... Not much aroma, some toasty/bready aromas if any. Smooth palate with mild herbal, spicy and slight citrus. It’s okay i guess, as a thirst quencher. Nothing i’d drink a lot of. Aaron68 (608) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 19, 2012

Pours amber rose with a small and quickly dissipating off white head. Aromas of crystal malt, a little metallic. Nice healthy maltiness in the mouth, some dried fruit and caramel. Some bitterness at the end. Nice beer, but needs more malty concentration. visionthing (5298) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 15, 2012

Really good smell. The taste is also quite lovely. This kind of October beer you just want to drink more of. The aftertaste is left for a while but is perfectly okay taste-wise. I’d probably buy a few more hours in October because it was so good. larsga (7509) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 12, 2012
Medium beige head. Clear amber body with light carbonation.
Earthy floral caramelly aroma with spicy floral notes. Dry
earthy papery metallic taste with spicy grainy notes.
Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry earthy roasty soy sauce
aftertaste with minty cocos and metal notes. Not really all that
nice; too harsh. (0.33l bottle, Systembolaget, Nordstan, Göteborg.) Arve_Christian (5114) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 6, 2012

Bottle 330ml @ homenazzty (1376) - Ödåkra - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - SEP 30, 2012
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and grass. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
Good bang of hops, thanks to the generous amount of Amarillo. Interesting reinterpretation of the Oktoberfest.
