2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured a nice dark gold with a decent head and lacing which followed. Aroma was mix of sweet malts and off hops. Taste is malty initially but then followed by mild hop bitterness and a hay-like finish - kind of weird. Palate was decent. Overall, this was drinkable but it was a bit off from what I was expecting.
Life is meant to be enjoyed as much as possible, and this brew is here to help. #005 is an homage to our existence: Lots of richness, many pleasant moments and just a hint of bitterness to keep it real. This is a malt-forward Maibock that delivers big flavor and a nice depth of character, a beer that’s definitely worth grabbing and hanging onto. Much like our time on this planet. Life is sweet, folks — drink it in! Ratman197 (15220) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JAN 29, 2015
Bottle poured a clear tarnished gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of bread, yeast, earthiness and a hint of fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, yeast and light fruitiness with a smooth finish. BeerInHeaven (467) - Brillion, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 17, 2014
pours a mostly clear rich gold with a medium off white head. Aroma is hay with slight skunk. tastes sweet with a hint of spice. Long strong slightly bittersweet finish. Not bad, but not my thing. nuplastikk (6415) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 16, 2014
12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan body. Sweet, rich, malty aroma, relatively true to style. A pretty decent beer. Not exactly going to hang with quality German stuff but sessionable, clean, drinkable, fresh...OK. One of the more enjoyable offerings from WBC so far. frpilz (111) - Illinois, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Smooth, easy drinking german lager. Not as much flavor as this style should have. Great color, low head, smooth, pleasent. Good with a weisswurst. Masks alcohol well. Needs just more flavor.

Sample at the tap room. Clear amber color with a medium thick foamy white head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, fruit and hops. Medium body with flavors of grainy malt, earthy hops and fruit. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Decent overall. crossovert (13730) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 10, 2014
Draft. Goldpour. A decent lager and in my opinion lacking a chunk of the diacetyl that the capital version has. twindadplus2 (732) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 21, 2014
Clear amber brown color with a small tight white head. Aroma is lightly toasted malt and sweet cereal grains. .sweet malt flavor with a hops spice note carrying through to the dry finish. Medium bodied and smooth with light carbonation. jbruner (5122) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JUN 25, 2014
Pours a clear golden brown from the bottle with bubbly off-white head. Aroma is big on the caramel malts, toffee, and dry fruits. Taste is grainy caramel, meh. Not my style. wlajwl (7011) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUN 22, 2014
Aroma is pale malts/beery and slightly perfumed. The flavor is pale malts, vanilla, an off chemical note and a beery finish.
