Heller Bock? I can’t say I buy that... have you had one? This is closer to a decent pale ale, or a bad IPA. Not a heller. Over hoped for it. Thin fading head. Sweet very sweet hop balance with some tropical fruit flavors. Better than many IDPA i have had. Balanced anjoyable... call it what it is a pale ale. Rating as a pale ale not a Heller. Heller Bock would be 2.5. Carlisle (793) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2017
Draft. Pours orange-gold. Some citrus aroma. Citrus with some pine notes along with some caramel. Does not taste like a maibock; more of a pale ale or IPA. twindadplus2 (736) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 29, 2016
Bottle. Dark amber color with a pillowy white head. Aroma is grains and herbal hops with a bit of caramel malt. Flavor is the herbal bitterness up front and some malt balancing it out in the background. Medium bodied with a long herbal finish. This one is pretty good. weihenweizen (4098) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - AUG 13, 2015
Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a snifter. Clear golden, aroma is light malt, and taste is rich malt with balancing herbal hops. arnold931 (1264) - Iowa, USA - AUG 5, 2015
Draft at brewery. Pours clear amber gold with white soapy head. Nose is lots of grain and a little caramel. Taste is up front bitterness with some sweet caramel and then bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Orange pour. Minty hop and clean caramel malt. Flavor is an off lightly sour caramel malt with a hint of smoke and some generic hops. Another "winner." AWISLguy (3312) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 26, 2015
Bottle from the Malt Shoppe in Tosa. A very clear orangey copper pour with little head. Aroma has sweet malts, some hoppiness and faint earth. Taste is of sweet malts, sweet fruits, a bit of grass and some straw. Medium bodied. No real alcohol presence. Finishes sweet and fairly short. Better than expected for style - not real hoppy, but enough to mean something. 13.7 jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAY 4, 2015
Draft. From notes. Earth and big citrus hops. More of an ipa or dipa personally. Good brew. Cousin_Larry (895) - - MAY 1, 2015
Clear pale orange color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of tropical fruit, earthy hops and biscuit malt. The finish is malty up front with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall. Bottled. Poured light-medium golden with light sediment and a sticky white head. The aroma picked up sweet, candied fruits and caramel with accents of Pinesol and lemon rind.. a bit of sourness too. The flavor found caramel and pale malts at the core, with lemon rind and detergent laced throughout.. very sweet and a little spicy on the tart finish. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.. too sharp at times.. not very enjoyable.
