Welcome to Shangri-La. Ananda is the ancient Sanskrit word for bliss & this dry hopped, juicy beer is our version of just that! Malted & flaked wheat create a velvety texture just before the citrus hop notes explode into pure nirvana. Meditation of sophistication.

Light gold with a white head. Nose is fresh hops, citrus, lightly bitter and florals. Easy palate, florals, bitter, big citrus and a refreshing finish.

The round, orange shape on the front of the can made me think this would have actual oranges is in it but its just another crappy IPA. It smells sticky and pine-needly. Its quite sweet and bitter w/ moderate carbonation. Some floral notes come out in the finish along w/ strong, pithy bitterness. This is feels heavy enough it negatively affects drinkability and as there is nothing especially great about the hop character, I cant really recommend it.

Clear copper gold with a thick soapy head. Crazy lacing. The aroma is a nice old school floral, grapefruit, distinctly Cascade, and slightly woody hop character that smells more like hop pellets than a finished beer usually does.. Some sweetness is detectable, but nothing really stands out. The flavor is tuned down on the floral and citrus, with continuous malt sweetness all the way through. There is a touch of bitterness on the finish, but not enough to balance. Thick body with a slightly silky texture.

12oz can from Jims in Mundelein. Yellowish orange pour. White head. Aroma has citrus and sweet malts, with something tangy. Taste is of sweet malts, tangy pine, light citrus. Medium bodied with little alcohol presence. The blend is decent and the carbonation is constant. Finishes tangy and sweeter than bittersweet. Decent effort. 13.4

Citrus, pine, and some malty caramel in the aroma. Bitter flavor with some underlying caramel malt sweetness. Pine and flowery hops in the finish, with some drying alcohol as well. Nice.

355ml can. This is a basic and sweet IPA, citrus hops, it is not doing much for me.

Malty, but not too sweet. Caramel and bread, full body leading to a mildly hoppy finish. Some resin and pine.

On tap at the Little Goat for the Wiseacre West Loop Bar Crawl in Chicago. Dispensed to a stemmed ale/pokal glass showing a clear & bright, golden hue, with a presentable layer of soft white foam, and a web-like band of lacing that clung to the interior. The nose was perfumey citrus as grapefruit & orange, and light sweetness. Ditto on the flavor, medium bodied, with good carbonation, moderate citrus & rind-like bitterness that also projected a bit of tart astringency. An uncomplicated, very drinkable IPA.
