Frothmeister (826) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2014
750ml bottle. In the cellar for two years. Pours a clear gold with an off-white head. Honey, tart apple, caramel, light sultana raisin, and bready notes on the nose. Sweet with bitter mineral hops, candied fruit, sultana raisins, light orange peel, and light cognac-like notes that heads into dark bread notes, dried fruit, bitter hops that don’t quite synch up well with the sweetness, and a light clove note that lingers well into the finish.

Eh. Not my favorite tripel. A little on the muddled and sweet side of things. Nothing unpleasant but not nearly enough to take notice og in the style. Slight honey and cereal, and light belgian spice and a hint of twang."

[5564-20130701] Bottle. Mild yeasty aroma. Slightly hazy, brown orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Fruity yeast flavour. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/14 3.4

750 ml bottle from LCBO(?), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Cloudy golden with a very full, rocky white head, good lacing. Aroma: Quite boozy, stings a bit, fairly spunky citrus, some esters, somewhat spicy, I get a little diacetyl (I think...), moderate light malt character, sweet-smelling. Palate: Medium+ body with fairly full effervescence, somewhat creamy. Flav.: Strong alcohol, spicy, fairly estery, too much booze, stings, diacetyl comes though (I think...), light maltiness; off dry with low bitterness and a LOT of alcohol, finishes with some spiciness and esters and piles more alcohol.

WAY too boozy. Decent aromas/flavours.

Nose: smells like outright piss, nothing outstanding about the odor. Mouth: tastes like a generic domestic citric beer.

Really like this one. Has a nice sweetness that makes itself known without ever being overbearing. Surprisingly substantial maltiness too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wow, this beer is gross. Flavor-full, aromatic, and gross. A mix of banana and clove. The mouthfeel is a little syrupy, which accentuates the sweetness and reminds me a little of morning breath. Maybe if you love banana and clove you might not hate this beer, but that is the best I can say about it.

750. Thanks T! Pours a cloudy pale toffeeish gold with a towering sudsy, fizzy platinum blond head. Bright sweet nose, candi sugar, powdered sugar, green apple. Creamy, fizzy medium body. A bit cloying, heavy sugars, light apple in the background, not much acidic balance. Long acetic sweet finish.

Sweet, vanilla, ladyfinger cake aroma. Wine bottle-style 750 mL, OK label. Honey gold, misty beer, big fluffy eggshell head. Respectable balance - ABV apparent, but well masked. Medium body, slightly brothy, effervescent and warming. Lightly sweet, lightly bittered, a bit biscuity, very lightly spicy. I enjoyed this. On sale, ABC Bull Run.

Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 7, 2013
750 mL bottle. Poured clear, bright golden with a sticky white head. The aroma picked up sweet banana and vanilla with accents of cloves and nutmeg.. peppery alcohol warmth rose as it warmed. The flavor found white pepper and cloves laced throughout.. sweet banana, vanilla, and a kiss of honey supported.. tangy, sugary, and warm on the long finish. Medium-plus bodied with heavy, creamy carbonation.. I enjoyed the mouthfeel.. overall a solid, but not spectacular brew.
