Sampled at Zythos 2009. Clear gold, thin ivory head. Sticky sweet tripel/eurotpean strong lager, with a Belgian yeast giving it some subtle esters. Bit of heat and white pepper on finish. Bit hot on the alcohol. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 18, 2009

Consumed at Zythos, St Niklaas, Belgium, 08-03-09 Pours clear golden with a white head. Some bitter hops ’lager style’ maybe? Taste is bitter but the sweetness comes through. I definately keep getting hints of a pilsnerness about this (maybe its just me) Its refreshing and tasty, there is plenty of maltiness, its quite clean but the strength is really showing now. Pours clear golden with a slight green hue. A nice, frothy, white head on top. Aroma has notes of brett and some soft, sweet wheat. Fat mouthfeel, but still with a rather lively carbonation. Sweet flavour, some good wheat. Heavy vinoiusness, but never reaching alcoholic. The sweet wheat it wonderfully balances by both the alcohol and a sharp, zesty lemon note. Lovely, balanced and elegant.

Clear blond coloured beer with small white head and few carbonation. herby spicy aroma? Full sparkling palate. Finish is sweet herby bitter. Ok, nice one. JorisPPattyn (10002) - Ursel, BELGIUM - MAR 8, 2009
Draught Good yellowish head, with textbook lace, over metallic-golden beer with a slight verdigris shine. Hyper-typical V.S. nose with white candi sugar, esters, and some alcohol, V.S. thumbprint more clear than anything. Sweet start with drier following, fruity-estery. Well bodied and very slick, quite carbonated. It supposed to be new. As Pierlala, Meerendree,... Mind you, it’s NOT bad. MAP (1133) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - FEB 23, 2009
Pour is a slightly hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is a grassy musk with a hint of lemon. Flavor is quite impressive, nothing witchy about it, but a smooth kind of earthy ale. It starts with a rather gentle malt texture with a slight finish of lemon with mild bitterness. Certainly not a knock-you-socks-off Belgian, but it is pretty drinkable.
