Pour is a slightly hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is a grassy musk with a hint of lemon. Flavor is quite impressive, nothing witchy about it, but a smooth kind of earthy ale. It starts with a rather gentle malt texture with a slight finish of lemon with mild bitterness. Certainly not a knock-you-socks-off Belgian, but it is pretty drinkable. A well rounded ale, similar to a trippel, but much less sweet. Grainy, biscutty backbone with the estery notes subdued, mostly being apples and pears. Great noble-spicy hop presence, and due to the carbonation quite dry and refreshing in the finish, with low to no warmth bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 11, 2009
