Smokey. A good wheat ale. One pour is sufficient per sitting. Limited carbonation. chucklemation (1611) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - JUL 28, 2016
Pours a light brown with a thin white head. Aroma is smoke, caramel, and some fruit. Flavor is sweet caramel and smoke. Perhaps a touch too sweet. Has soft carbonation. Pretty good stuff. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JUN 26, 2016
On tap: The aroma consists of moderate smoked meat and light caramel. It’s a hazy dark amber with a small off-white head that fades to a thin film outlined by a soapy ring. The flavor starts with light-moderate caramel with hints of wheat (I wouldn’t notice the wheat if the description didn’t tell me it was there). The finish has moderate smoked meats with a touch of grass. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation. koleminer20 (3463) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - SEP 11, 2015
On tap at the brewery. The pour is a nice amber color, minimally opaque, with a small rig of white head and no lace. The aroma is definitely wheat based, but I'm missing out on the smoke. There is a nice malt and a good sweetness that comes with it. I'm glad it's by overly wheaty because I'm not a fan of that. The flavor is pretty wheaty and the smoke doesn't come through until the back end. There is definitely a jerky smokiness happening on that back end. That's all the smoke though. The mouth feel is thin and light. No real carbonation and a lingeringly smokey malty finish. Not as bad as I thought it would be

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear dark orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, some smoky, meaty notes into a bit of toasted bread, some grassy notes with some red fruits as well. Taste was a mix of caramel, toasted bread, some sugary notes into some smoky, campfire notes with a touch of bacon, some red fruit, with some earthy, grass notes, finishing slightly sweet.

Draft - Lightly soured malts and bacon with smoke. Hazy copper with a decent white head. Light bacon and smoke with a bit of bitterness and a long smokey finish. Smoky and nice. paintedmaple (671) - People’s Republic of Bloomington, Indiana, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Interesting take on a wheat beer,,,some smoke is discernible in the flavor as well as some other flavors not normally found this style. Rather thin body and watery mouth-feel detract from what otherwise is a decent beer. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - JUL 7, 2013
Draft at Smokehouse 52, Chelsea. Murky medium-dark orange-brown body, thin cream head. Light toasty nose. Sweet body, with brown sugar and berries and a bitter, grassy finish. Modest smoke, mostly like sweetened, lightly tannic tea. Not bad. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - APR 10, 2013
Sample draft at the brewery. Pours a murky dark orange-brown color with a nice head that lingers a bit, leaves oily lacing. Aroma is dark bread and light smoke, interesting. Whoa, the smoke is way more present in the taste than the aroma. It’s more like a pepper smoke than a roasty smoke, very spicy in the finish. Slight sweetness helps to balance the smoke out. Unique beer and I enjoyed it a lot. Note: Listed as 7.3% on the board here. deyholla (11481) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 30, 2012
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some sweet grains with a bit of roast and a backing smoke. Flavor is light with roast and light smoke with a bit of light fruit in the finish. A bit odd.
