12 oz. pour at World of Beer Belmar. This is a light golden color with vigorous carbonation, a clear body and a tall white head. The aroma is great on this. It seems like a basic beer, but showcases the yeast and all the character it can offer. There are hints of pepper, flowers, savory spices and banana. The palate is medium and spritzy. The first thing I notice is how dry this beer is and it works perfectly. All the fruity and spicy esters create a complex flavor profile. Nothing is overbearing. Malt is crackery and doughy. This is a really nice Belgian blonde. ajnepple (6606) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 15, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2014 On tap at the brewery. Yellow-orange and hazy appearance with a white head. Aroma of bready malts, clove, light spice, herbs, Belgian notes, banana and toasted grains. Similar flavor, lightly bittersweet, adding dough, mild yeast, light tropical fruit and a touch of coriander. Light to medium body, soft and somewhat dry. Crisp, refreshing and easy to drink.
