PorterPounder (8275) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 9, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 750 ml cage corked bottle. Light orange murky pour - soft snow white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma is lemony and yeasty, a hint of coriander. Flavor is full bodied and fresh. Pick up some lemony accents, a bit of sweet cookie dough, some coriander spiciness, slightly salty in the finish. Mouthfeel is thick and velvety. Pretty solid.

JaBier (8253) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - APR 4, 2014
Sample at the Brew Kettle on 3/23/14. Clear gold pour with a thick white head. Malty nose with orange and slight banana and clove. Malty and floral flavor with some orange character before a banana finish.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8141) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 1, 2012
Sampled on draft at D’s in Monroeville this beer poured a murky orange-amber color with a medium sized foamy off white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was yeasty and bready with light notes of orange and pepper. The flavor was tart orange zest, lemon and tangy bread with hints of nut and pepper. The finish was long orange, bread and a touch of honey. Fairly full bodied. Enjoyable.

Bottle (odd looking). Pours with a hazy golden hue and a somewhat quick to fade white head. Aromas are extremely floral, rose water, potpourri, estery, phenol, alcohol, grainy. Flavors are of clove, phenol, ester, alcohol, bready. A bit sweet. Floral. Finishes with an odd, nearly cedar like note. Strange beer. Medium carbonation. Alcohol makes it a touch flabby.

Strykzone (7644) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2011
Sampled at an esbls tasting. I brought this one. Very hazy orange gold with a decent even layer of white foam. The nose is apples and yeast with light fruit. Not a lot of flavor. Wheat, and apples are prominent. Alcohil is tasted but is not over bearing and bitterness is mild. Carbonation is significant. This needs more going on.

Ughsmash (7510) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 4, 2012
750mL bottle. Poured cloudy, medium orangey-golden with a dense white head. The aroma picked up sweeter oranges and wheaty notes with orange zest, white pepper, and cloves around.. soft and well-balanced. The flavor found sweet oranges, bready malts, and a touch of honey at the core.. cloves, coriander, and tart wheat around.. fairly sugary on the back-end and finish. Light-medium bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. nice brew, but a bit too sweet.

On tap at ’t Lommertje. Hazy deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of spices, mainly ground cloves and nutmeg, coreander, sweet Belgian White aroma. Flavour is medium-sweet, some wheat, ground cloves, nutmeg, light bitter spicy finish. Medium-bodied, smooth. I quite liked this.

From a can at the On Tap summer beer tasting. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a white head. Citrus aroma. Light orange and coriander flavors. Crisp finish.

mike_77 (7085) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - DEC 15, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2014 Hazy yellow colour. Peppery, yeasty aroma. Low carbonation and quite a thick, rich feel. Flavour is wheaty and sweet but with a slighty tangy edge to keep it fresh.

Appearance is gold-orange and very cloudy. The aroma is heavy spices, almost similar to fruit cereal. The flavor is fruit, malts and some alcohol. It was decent, although Double Wits are not a favorite of mine.
