Bottle. Have to agree with funkybrewster... need some more ’pop’. Pours a murky chalky orange yellow with little head. Aroma is fruity, orange, heavy coriander. Flavor follows, medium sweetness, no trace of alcohol really, but not a lot of definition, kind of gummy, fruity, yeasty.

Smell is like a normal Belgian white...taste is medium light and smooth flavor some complexity...smooth and straightforward...at thirsty fellow with John during USC and Clemson games

Alengrin (5635) - BELGIUM - JUN 20, 2017
Winter edition of Wittekerke, De Brabandere’s standard witbier, likely inspired by Hoegaarden Speciale, from a 75 cl bottle with cork bought at Dranken De Moor. Thick and frothy, cobweb-lacing, very dense and egg-white head, initially almost clear ’old gold’ robe, misty and more deeply orangey ochre with sediment. Aroma of peach, ripe banana, soap, stewed pear, some onsetting oxidation (rust), coriander, white bread dough, melting powder sugar, honey, popcorn, cooked carrot, vague hints of bubblegum and chicken broth. Sweet onset, banana ester mingled with accents of peach and pineapple, sourish undercurrent, medium carbo, slick and rather soapy mouthfeel, residual white sugary sweetness, soapy wheat and honeyish sweetness in the middle, touch bready, coriander towards the finish, minerally accents, some retronasal oxidation, lingering banana bread and honey sweetness, soapy ending with only the faintest hint of floral hop bitterness. A genuine ’tarwetripel’, soapy, sweet, coriandered and very accessible to the Belgian palate, nothing extraordinary going on here, but ’honest’ and enjoyable enough even on a summer evening.

Hazy dark golden to orange color with a modest head and decent lace. Classic scents with orange zest, pale malt and coriander. Flavors are sweet with a bit more alcohol. Sweeter, heavier wit.

Many thanks for this beer to Eric De Geyter from Belgium’s Best. Podwojny witbier, treściwy, sycący o mocnym zapachu skorki pomarańczy, trochę kolendry w smaku, treściwe, trochę mleczne i niebywale mętne. Srednia piana i szybko opadajaca. Dobry zimowy witbier

0,7 l bottle shared. Apperance Hazy yellow with a white head. Head leaves some lacing and has ok retention. Aroma of yeast Citrus, Spices, wheat Eath tones and alcohol. Taste: Low sweet, wheat, some spices, citrus and quite some alcohol. light earthy bitterness. Above average body, average carbonation. Not your average Witbier. More spicey and alcoholic. o

Carbonatie is levendig. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

sample from bottle, hazy light yellow colour with a white head. nose of yeast, citrus, earth, cookie dough and wheat. coriander, some bitter lemon peel in the end aswell. pretty boring. and not a real winter beer
