Bottle pours a cloudy whitish-yellow with a rocky white head.   Low on carbonation and lacing.   Aroma is of corriander and fruit.   Taste reveals the fruit flavor, honeysuckle perhaps, as well as a light citrusy spice.   Definately a wheaty mouthfeel.   Finish is crisp, and smooth, but a bit light.   This one could use a bit more spiciness.

Wheat beer in a can,now thats new to me.Cloudy straw color, small white head that had a small amount of lasting power. The aroma was Sweet and wheaty with a cerealish side and fruity side coming on as well, mild spicing as well. The taste was wheat and lightly citrusy with a decent amount of spice and very light malt.Nothing special but still worth trying.

All in all for this being in a can and me being ready for this 4 busk sixer to be crap I was impressed. Certainly not GREAT, but refreshing and with more flavor than expected. Light, maybe even very light, but still the coriander and other pleasant elements came through - as subdued as they may have been.

OK, I'm rating the Wittekerke. Almost yellow-white color with Duvel like head. Aroma of citrus lemon. Wow, sour lemon taste with musky yeasty taste. Really mild.

Pale cloudy yellow color. Faint aroma. Kind of lemony but nothing much after that. Citrusy taste. Kind of weak. A light beer to say the least...good for a hot summer day.

i could swig it. i could gulp it. don't think it's worth savoring... if laura ingalls wilder lived in belgium, she'd drink something like this.

diabel (1723) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - DEC 17, 2003
White body colour, white head. The body isn't transparant and has lots of little bubbles. The head is quite homogeneous. A typical white-beer aroma (sweet hoppy). A litlle bit bitter flavour.

Not everything that come from a can is disapointing. Perfect cloudy appearnce(minus the chunks).Ginger, orange, more spice and fruit are in full force.Tart and acidic liek a wit should be(in my mind).

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2003 "You can only find this in one place in the Bay Area," the store owner at the liquor store in Castro District told me. It wasn't very worth it. Medium head that quickly disappeared. light bitter taste with medium wheaty flavors.
