From old tasting notes. Cloudy pale yellow color. Small bubbly white head. Tart fruity maltiness hints at peaches. Zesty light fruit wheat flavor. Finishes dry and earthy.

*Old rating, 30cl, best before 03.07. Wich-hefiges Bier mit leichten Kräuteraromen. Die Orangen-citrusnote ist etwas verhalten. nicht zu süß und recht süffig. Nett.

Alengrin (5369) - BELGIUM - JAN 14, 2015
Riva’s original witbier, a (stereo)typical example of the style with cloudy ochre blonde colour and creamy head. Malt sweetness, a tad caramelly, with clear sourish ’wheatiness’ and the expected coriander seed and curaçao effects, drying a bit; slick mouthfeel, sweetish but still refreshing. I remember prefering this over Hoegaarden Witbier.

Backlog 2004. Bottle probably 33cl. Hazy white yellow color, small frothy white head; aroma yeast, wheat, lemon, bit of banana, coriander; taste moderate sweet, slightly sour, bit spicy; medium body, oily texture, overall a very refreshing witbier.

"A cloudy, pariculated yellow colored beer with a small foamy textured white head. Settles fairly quickly into a thin ringlet. Faint, barely discernable note of wheat. The flavors are more wheat and banana. Simple, yet light and refreshing"
