Cask at The Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear, pure gold with a small, creamy white head. Doughy malts in the nose with definite diacetyl. Light to medium sweet flavor, doughy, lightly buttery, some mild straw bitters. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish, a good deal of buttery biscuits and bread. A bit off in terms of condition it seems. chriso (21656) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2011
Cask (gravity dispense) at Kingston Beer Festival on 13 May 2011. Burnished dark amber colour. Loose, but lasting white head. Not a lot of condition. Fruity malt aroma - a bit raw. Traditional feel in the flavour - fruity again with a decent balance of malt and earthy hop. Mellow mouthfeel. A bit flat on the palate. Moderate bitterness. A pleasant, easy drinking traditional bitter. Not sure about the condition though - flagged for re-rate.
