Clear medium amber with a ring head and spotty lacing. A Traditional ale with more caramel malt at the beginning, more hop balance at the finish. Works well enough to have again, but certainly not a memorable brew. PGHbeer77 (571) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2012
Bottle at Shop-N-Save event, 4/21/12. Bronze color with a frothy head, sweet caramel scent, crisp textured light bodied palate with a flat feeling finish. Notes of nuts with a caramel finish. LetsGoState (907) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 9, 2012
Aroma is a bland malt. Taste is a slightly nutty malt, but not much to it. Overall not enough. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 10, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a small fizzy and thin off-white head that left a touch of lacing. The nose is slightly nutty and sweet with a touch of fruitiness. The flavor is a bit on the thinner side, but not offensive in any way. Lightly nutty with some earthiness, very little to no hoppiness. Light bodied and thin with fizzy carbonation. Not bad, but it needs a little more body and depth. Leafs93 (2316) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 18, 2012
Pours dark brown with white head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate and some roast. Taste is sweet with faint bitterness on the finish. Surprisingly crisp finish for the style.

1/15/12. 12oz bottle. Slightly hazy brown pour with a small khaki head that’s gone fast. Slightly sour nutty aroma with caramel and oxidation. Sweet, nutty flavor with a bit of roast and a touch of sour milk. Meh. hbmason (1086) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 4, 2012
On draft at the brewery. A little thin for a brown but smooth nonetheless. Hints of nuts and grain. AirForceHops (7675) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 28, 2011
12 oz bottle from Bert’s Better Beers. Used a pint. Head dissipated fast. No lace. Flavor is a blend of malt, sugar and very light fruit hop notes. Finish is a weak nuttiness, just a touch of bitterness. Overall very “Run of the Mill” monk191 (2023) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 18, 2011
Nice brown beer. Not much scent, has a nice brown pour, creamy nuttiness. Not especially unique, but a good brown ale.

Bottle. Pours a copper/toffee color with a small white head. Nose is brown sugar, caramel, nuts. Palate is playfully carbonated with a light dirty feeling. Bits of toffee and peanut brittle in the finish with other notes of caramel, light spicy hop notes, sweet syrupy malt notes.
