COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with over 200 pounds of organic rolled oats in each batch, this smooth-as-silk stout is brimming with darkly roasted malts and rich notes of chocolate and coffee. A mocha-topped, black-as-night body gives way to a surprisingly smooth, full-bodied experience in this unfiltered offering.

Bottle at home. Pours opaque black with a medium, frothy tan head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is roast, chocolate and oat malt, earthy hops, prunes and figs with earthy hops. Flavor is lightly sweet dark malt and fruits with light hops and bitterness and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

GIJOE (1250) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Pours black with a creamy, tan head. Nose is dark-roasted grain with coffee and molasses notes. Taste is a touch on the sweet side, but very well-balanced. Medium body, lively carbonation. Very tasty brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

NikkTwist (3304) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 18, 2014
Draft at Eulogy. Clear dark pour with some tan foam. Mild dark cocoa. Coffee. Liquorice. Reads quite thin for a stout in general, much less an oatmeal one. Interesting dark dry finish.

wheresyourball (572) - El Cajon, California, USA - APR 13, 2014
On draft. Pours a clear dark brown with small beige head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, oats; flavor follows, mostly sweet with a bitter coffee finish. Smooth but thin mouthfeel. Decent.

Tonkun (1296) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Tap. Pitch black pour with half an inch of mocha head. Oat, chocolate, coffee. Light body with a lot of carbonation. Slightly bitter finish. A bit more flavor would be better

warhawk91 (302) - Newington, Connecticut, USA - FEB 26, 2014
Draft pour at Angelo's on Main in West Hartford, CT. Pour is dark brown/ black with a foamy khaki head. Lacing is good. Smell is oats, coffee, dark chocolate and hops. Taste is similar but do not detect any oatmeal. Very dry finish, not overly sweet. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
