Huge aroma: earth, grass, spices, especially nutmeg and allspice. Hazy amber orange, significant yellow-beige head leaves abundant lace. Initially bittersweet, grass and pumpkin, then turning towards tart orange juice with significant earthiness. The spices come to the fore in a lingering finish. Creamy on the front, clean in the finish, very quaffable. mjg74 (3133) - La Mesa, California, USA - OCT 30, 2008
Bottle from Whole Foods. Dark amber/orange in color. Huge spiced nose. Lots of nutmeg with cinnamon and ginger. Loads of spices. Some somewhat sour graininess in the background. Smooth mouthfeel. Somewhat bitter hoppy finish. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 30, 2008
POured a light orange color with a big white head. Aroma was of lots of nutmeg and a bit of biscut. Flavor was spices, then really hollow and watery in the middle and then a sweeter pie crust swallow, not horrible, but not everything fits together. josarah (112) - Hinesburg, Vermont, USA - OCT 30, 2008
12oz. bottle. Tight white head, orange amber color, nice spice pumkin aroma. If this beer is too cold the spice and hops do not meld well. I you let it reach 50+ degrees it is drinkable. Not a bad pumpkin ale, but not great either beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - OCT 27, 2008
Amber with a small soft off-white head. Pumpkin nose, sweet and soft spiciness to it. Pretty decent pumpkin ale, not overly sweet, good spiciness. Lighter bodied, slight metallic note in the finish.

On tap at Mellow Mushroom (Citrus Park, FL). Pours a generally clear amber with a thin off-white head. Flavor is decidedly pumpkin and spice with notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, some slight hints of ripe fruit. Flavor is similar with sweet malt, pumpkin, spice, and nutmeg-like notes. Generally light to medium body with a slightly spicy finish. HopBackDoc (474) - Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 25, 2008
Slightly cloudy deep amber pour with off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, pumpkin and spices. The flavor hits the taste buds with a mix of sweetness and spice followed by a malt/pumpkin combo for some balance. A bit too much in the spice department, but a decent drinking pumpkin ale nonetheless. djones (121) - Michigan, USA - OCT 25, 2008
Dark amber-orange body. weak on flavors all around, was expecting a bit more spice. dry, tart, bitter, and lacking a balanced sweetness. DYCSoccer17 (3705) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 25, 2008
12 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Weird aroma, which doesnt sit right. It is a bit sour, acidic/acetic with some of the pumpkin spiciness. Stuff like nutmeg, and ginger, and cinnamon. Has a weird metallic note. Mildly transparent orange body with a smallish off-white head and decent lacing present. Well, this is sour, tart, acetic to start with some pumpkin like spice in the middle. Very spritzy and overly carbonated. Infected and significantly flawed. All of the bottles tasted like this. kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - OCT 23, 2008
Pours clear orange, dark amber. Small film head. Aroma of dirt, pumpkin, and spice. Flavor is dry, bitter, pumpkin, cream and spice and has a dirt hue to it. Must be the organics. Palate is tart. Too tart and bitter, and not sweet enough for a fall pumpkin ale for my tastes, and I don’t even like sweet beers. This one could use a little more creaminess though. It’s just too dry and bland on the finish.
