Its malty with many Autumn spices of pumpkin, cloves and cinnamon. quite a nice beer. nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2008
The aroma is weak and somewhat odd but it does have the requisite pumpkin, malt, and spices. The appearance is amber with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth but thin. Overall it’s interesting. thornecb (5906) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 13, 2008
Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white head with medium retention leaves no lacing. Pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon aromas. Crisp and dry with upfront sour pumpkin and a lasting sour spice finish. Aside from the sourness of this beer, it has many good qualitiesl. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2008
on tap. Clear amber in color with a medkum off white head. Aroma of spices, pumpkin, caramel malt, clean. Taste is pumpkin, caramel/molasses and spices. Medium bodied. Finishes with lingering pumpkin spice and a very mild bitterness. Clean and well balanced. Nicely done. bhensonb (15187) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 12, 2008
Bottle from the Coop in Davis, CA. Bottled 9/21/08. Beautiful copper color with a multi-finger frothy beige head. Aroma of pumpkin pie heavy on nutmeg. A bit thinnish with sharpish carbonation. Flavor is pumpkin pie with some herb or veg. It’s not a month old, and at least one week was refrigerated, but I think I detect a slight sour note. More of a flavored ale than a spice ale - whatever I meant by that. Finish is rather astringent. Think I like my pumpkin thicker and spicier. Maybe it would have gone better with food.

Sweet malt on the nose. Fruity flavor, with a cinnamon finish. The finish is very long lasting. Cant say this is very enjoyable. BuckeyeSammy (617) - Palo Alto, Ohio, USA - OCT 11, 2008
Nice nose of pumpkin spice and sweet cinnamon, nutmeg. Palate is a little too tart/ sweet. Light hop presence on the back end of this beer. Some vegie notes, overpowering sweetness though. SB (334) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 10, 2008
12 oz. bottle. oil slick pour. Hazy golden orange. Bubbly off-white head, tiny bit of lacing on the glass. Aroma of spicy cinnamon. Flavor of nutmeg and vegetable. Malty and pumpkin in the back. Medium mouthfeel. Good bit of carbonation, that you can feel from the middle to the back of your tongue. This one isn’t over flavored, but may be a tad under-flavored. 12 oz. bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop. Hazy muddled orange with a 2-finger head. Poor retention and lacing. Not much pumpkin in the aroma but the spice mix is not overbearing either. Some nutmeg and a little bit of cinnamon. Taste is subtle pumpkin in the finish, preceded by green apple and a spicy spice mix. Lots of cinnamon. Medium bodied. From a 12 ounce bottle from Belmont Station in PDX--Rustic orange-copper body with a thin, soft off-white head. Obvious pumpkin-pie spice nose. A tad tart-sweet. The flavor starts with a stinging to the front of the tongue. Toward the middle of the tongue, the acidic and carbonic profile is realized. By the time the back of the tongue is introduced, the marzen-looking and malt-driven English-esque ale disappoints some. Not sure what to make of this beer.
