Bottle. Hazy dark amber color, small white head. Aroma of allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon. Taste is gourd and spice. Oakes (18756) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 1, 2009
Very bright orange. Very spicy, pumpkiny nose - big, brash and appetizing. On the palate it falls apart a bit, though. The body is thin. There’s huge nutmeg and other spicy but not nearly the malt character to hold it all together. jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Bottle labelled as "Pumpkin Ale." Pours amber brown. Off white head. Nose/taste of pumpkin, fake all spice and nutmeg. Some metallic notes lingering in background. Light with a thin watery body. bhensonb (15745) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 12, 2008
Bottle from the Coop in Davis, CA. Bottled 9/21/08. Beautiful copper color with a multi-finger frothy beige head. Aroma of pumpkin pie heavy on nutmeg. A bit thinnish with sharpish carbonation. Flavor is pumpkin pie with some herb or veg. It’s not a month old, and at least one week was refrigerated, but I think I detect a slight sour note. More of a flavored ale than a spice ale - whatever I meant by that. Finish is rather astringent. Think I like my pumpkin thicker and spicier. Maybe it would have gone better with food.

Bottle poured a hazy orange with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of clove, allspice, carmel and pumpkin. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, allspice, cinnamon and light pumpkin with a smooth lingering spiced finish. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 7, 2008
12 oz. bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop. Hazy muddled orange with a 2-finger head. Poor retention and lacing. Not much pumpkin in the aroma but the spice mix is not overbearing either. Some nutmeg and a little bit of cinnamon. Taste is subtle pumpkin in the finish, preceded by green apple and a spicy spice mix. Lots of cinnamon. Medium bodied. Bottle as "Wolaver’s Organic Pumpkin Ale". Pours a slightly hazed copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of nutmeg and pumpkin spices plus a touch of malt. Light body with a sweet spiced character of nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin. The finish is malty with a short cinnamon aftertaste. Average overall. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 16, 2008
(Bottle, courtesy of BMan1113VR) Pours a clear copper body with a small off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg, turmeric, and coriander. Flavor of pumpkin, hops (grassy, floral), coriander, and nutmeg with a bitter finish. I would like to try this along with some spicy Indian food. j12601 (13093) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - SEP 20, 2009
Bottle. Pours a clear light orange brown with a medium sized white to beige head. Heavy nutmeg, cinnamon, and a bit of clove and pumpkin flesh. Medium bodied, big spice and malt/grain flavors. Big spicy cinnamon finish. Crisp and clean. Pretty good, and a nice light change from some of the boozier pumpkin ales I seem to have been having this season.
