Bottle. Bronze with a small head.A lovely combination of hops and malts with a gentle bitter finish. Lots of body considering its relatively low strength. A very pleasant surprise. And an impressive surprise. john44 (3101) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2017

500 ml bottle bought at CitySuper in New Town Plaza, Sha Tin.
Clear deep copper colour; Three quarter finger head with soapy off-white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Good sticky lacing and active small arbonation;
Fragrant aroma of malt, with strong toffee, caramel, strong chocolate, light cream, floral, sugar, light bread and thin lemon; Close to light sweet taste of fair Ale malt, with good roastyness, fresh toast, caramel, dark chocolate, fair red fruits, light floral, light molasses, dry biscuits, lemon, medium bitter hops and grass; Light body. Dry and watery palate; Mouth feel is fair Ale maltymess in a very thinned background. Good roastyness and toasty all the way. Notable dark chocolate along with caramel and red fruits. Light sweetness, biscuit with lemon to round. Spunky!... Hoppiness is floral and thin lemon in nose, ssame but lighter in taste plus grass; Bitterness is fairly strong for an abrupt, mid astringent roast malty finish; Dry after taste. Chocolatey and fairly bitter to mouth.
Comments: This one is bold in chocolate, toffee and toasty characters, while at the same time has a dry lean body with pretty expressive hoppiness. Almost like a poor-man Stout, as a Bitter this is outstanding. These guys are turning ordinary styles into something neat and endearing. Yes!
500ml bottle from SPAR at Blue Dolphin caravan park, near Filey. Brown amber colour, white foam head and malty bready aroma. Taste is malt, light roast, bready with some dusty fruity, blackcurrant, hop, and toasty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry nutty roast bitter finish. Quite drinkable. 500 ml bottle @ home. Pours clear reddish amber colour, low off-white head. Aroma of raisins, berries and malts. The flavour is malty, but drier than I expected. Hints of raisins and berries again, roast malts and some hops in the finish. Not too bad. ansalon (3846) - Stockholm, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUL 26, 2016
