Strong and well hopped for the voyage sending IPA from the Wolds to the World. Interestingly brewed with a pale Wold grown malt base, a triple hop blend and Maize for the head retention. Such triple hopped beers need hot full flavoured foods to accompany them!

500 ml bottle, 6%, clear golden with a white head, total no carbo to feed the head.aroma of hops, fruit, citrus, malt, yeast. Taste of malts, medium bitterness, no carbo, too heavy cloying sweetness, long hopbitterness also in the aftertaste, little fruit, racy and soft.

500ml bottle. Lemon zest and caramel aroma. Pours slightly cloudy and golden in colour with a tiny white head. Lemon, lime, bread and caramel flavours. Medium body. Citrus bitterness in the finish.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Pours pale yellow orange with foamy white head. Aroma mellow with resin, grass and slight floral notes. Slightly oily mouthfeel. A really solid IPA in the American style.

Mortlach (2347) - Rome, ITALY - MAY 31, 2016
On tap @Le Bon Bock (Rome). Pours golden with a minimal white head. Aroma is fruity and grassy with apple, lemon notes, malt (biscuit). Flavour is medium malty, light sweet with a decent bitterness. Mediumbody, light carbonation. So so...

SilkTork (5737) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2016
500ml brown bottle, filtered, from Waitrose. Clean sweet biscuit malt with moderate hop levels giving a slightly unbalanced beer. For my taste I would prefer fewer hops and more malt character. Drinkable but not my thing and I had low enjoyment of this.

Theydon_Bois (19494) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2016
Bottle split at CC2, 05/03/16, big thanks to Mr Pink. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is pale malts, straw, light bread, orange. Taste comprises grain, orange peel, lemon rind, bready notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light bittering close. Not my idea of an IPA !!! Extremely whelming for the style.

The_Osprey (7984) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2016
Bottle share at Cotteridge II as ’Wold Top Scarborough Fair’. Dark yellow, clear and still, small foamy white head. Aroma has some light lime, flowers, fruity biscuits. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste has more fruit biscuits, a little floral and dry, sugary malt. OK.

Rasmus40 (20643) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 19, 2016

Butelka 500 ml. Zloty kolor. Piana biala mala szybko sie redukuje. Aromat owocowy malo tu cierpkiego zapachu typowej IPY. W smaku rowniez bardzo blado . Cytrusy gdzies w tle . Pierwszy lyk przypominal bardziej plyn do zmywania naczyn . Jest lekka goryczka ale brakuje reszty. Jak dla mnie slabe...
