COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Strong and well hopped for the voyage sending IPA from the Wolds to the World. Interestingly brewed with a pale Wold grown malt base, a triple hop blend and Maize for the head retention. Such triple hopped beers need hot full flavoured foods to accompany them!

3.2
DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, - OCT 1, 2012
Bottle in Spainsbury’s beer-off. Shining gold without inclusions under a skim of white froth. Aroma initially canned corn and phosphorous warming into more promising English woodland and mandarin. Taste: good tangy satsuma hop rounded with lingering malt suggesting cashew. More of that slightly dank English woodland taste I can’t quite capture: Coombe Abbey? Creamy mouthfeel, dabs of heat, peach, well-poised bittersweetness, almond. Slightly saline. Not bad.

spacecube (1705) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2017
Bottle, pours clear gold, small white head. Aroma is wafer and grain, malty, sweet peach, medium body, oily texture. Soft to flat carbonation. Balanced grainy finish.

dogbomb (1215) - ENGLAND - APR 25, 2017
Bottle. Golden ale with a thick white top. Nose is lemon and grapefruits. Some alka seltzer. Taste is very zingy. There’s a pleasant lemon/grapefruit bite to this, and a nice malt in the belch. Too zingy to quaff, so this is a bit of a sipper.

Bottle at home. Light and fresh tasting. Semi-sweet. Mild hoppy finish. Not much memorable.

uckelman (789) - Durham, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2016
Pours clear, golden. Ring of white head. Not much aroma, just a bit of grass and grains. Reminds me more of a German pilsner than an IPA, really. It’s a little bitter, finish is a little dry. It’s a not all that aromatic.

Clear amber, no head. Minimal aroma. Lacks the usual bitter hoppiness of an IPA, except at the very end. A bit sticky.

edsspoon (894) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 6, 2016
Bottle - pours bright light golden with a foamy white head. Good retention, okay lacing. Aroma of pine, lemon and malts. Taste of earth, tangerine, a little pine and light tropical fruits. Medium body, light carbonation, oily mouthfeel.
