Bottled. The aroma has dried fruits, caramel, some roast and some chocolate. Clear, dark brown coloured beer with a lasting, off-white/beige head. The taste is sweet, caramel malty with raisin and some chocolate. Medium bodied. Nice. Abio (1868) - BERMUDA - SEP 15, 2010
Dark red-brown. A nice big head that sticks good to the glass, and colapse just a bit to quick it seems. Aroma is sweet (caramel) fruity and well spiced, alcohol and yeast. Taste is mostly sweet (caramel), warming alcohol and spices. Expected less, pretty decent beer, but misses a boost and the aftertaste is a bit less pleasant. wimpie133 (381) - Brugge, BELGIUM - SEP 8, 2010
Bottle, 33 cl. Dark brown beer with a red shine, medium white-beige head that lasts perfectly, also a lacing beer. Aroma is fantastic: some caramel and chocolate smell combined with dry fruits and malts, going a light sweet touch to it. Taste is malty with a hoppy background at first. The caramel taste comes more to the foreground further in the beer. Finish is dry and bitter. Pallet is quite OK, but not devastating though (lacks a bit in complexity). Although I never heard of this beer before this is certainly a decent quality beer, without being superb however. sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 7, 2010
(Bottled my Belgian Strong Ale #400) Clear, deep ruby red with a medium, firm and lacy head. Caramely-malty, dried-fruity nose with lots of licorice and some anise. Flavor is caramely, grainy-malty, slightly sweet, syrupy, with very little hop bitterness. Alcohol hides behind the sweetness. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. A bit too sweet, and not very complex - but otherwise enjoyable Belgian strong. 7337 Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - AUG 16, 2010
A dark red/brown colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of caramel, fruits, some roasted malts with a little sweet. The taste of caramel with hints of chocolate, some dark fruits like raisins. The aftertaste is bittersweet.

Red brown colour, reasonabel head, fresh, somewhat fruity aroma (berries, krieken), a bit peppery. Also in the taste some fruits, somewhat bitter, fresh. Medium-bodied, not that long finish but enjoyable. Sten (766) - Westerlo, BELGIUM - JUN 28, 2010
White fast diminishing head. After a few minutes the beer looks really flat. Strange aroma, can’t seem to label it. But the flavour is better. Refreshing, sweet chocolate with some caramel hints. (Bottle 33cl 8,5% ABV in this version) BigMomma (250) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUN 6, 2010

The appearance is darbrown with a red shine and a rocky beige head.
The aroma has roasted nuts, chocolate, alcohol, yeast. The taste has notes of roasted malts, bitter dark chocolate, exotic fruits, caramel and a finish of bitter hops and wheat.
A great beer!
Bottle at home. Very deep brown pour, thick creamy off-white head that leaves lacing. Aroma of dark malts, dark fruits, some cardboard, newspaper ink, plum and some vague nuts and licorice. Flavor is bitter licorice, slightly sweet but heavy malts, some more roasted malts in the finish together with a hint of coffee and more licorice. Very lively carbonation and a creamy texture. Very nice after all. goozen (4178) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 29, 2010
