Bronze colour. Strong floral, fruity, hop aroma. Spicy hop and orange peel flavour underpinned by more fruit and some subtle malt. Dry, quite bitter finish. Very crisp and refreshing. Excellent stuff. Cask, GBBF 2004, with Dan Brown.

GBBF, London, gravity. Sampled with chris_o and ungstrup. Orange beer, with a smooth, very thin head. Very good stuff: a real clean and fully formed hoppy flavour, with plenty of grapefruit. Refreshing. Spiesy (2338) - Sydney, Greater London, AUSTRALIA - MAY 13, 2004
Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London. imdownthepub (15129) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2004
Amber with a just the thinnest of ringlets clinging to the edge. Absolutely gorgeous. The most immaculately conditioned beer, it truly was a special. Smooth butter scotch and honey flavour wonderfully contrast against mellow, yet firm hops. The hoppiness extends from the middle of the beer and to a long extended finish. I didn’t note too much down about this beer but rather freewheeled and enjoyed it fully, like a normal person not in the grip of a ratings addiction.
Cask Conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber coloured bitter with thin head. Sweetish malty background with a fragrant hoppiness to the fore, an unremarkable beer but saved by a long refreshing finish. RobBestwick (949) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 17, 2003
bitter hop aroma, bronze hue with a frothy head, some floaters, bitter taste with citrus notes, long bitter finish.

[Cask at GBBF 2003]Almost no aroma, only slight notes of bitterness. The color is a light amber and it has a small disappearing head. The flavor is a cask flat sweetness with a good hoppiness from a great sort of hops, that makes it end on a light bitterness, that lingers. leaparsons (10691) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2003
A light fruity bitter with a sour edge. Merely average stuff I'm afraid. Crit (4049) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 21, 2002
Amber with large off white head.Floral hop nose. Sweet malt taste with medium hop finish SilkTork (5798) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - DEC 16, 2002
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2011 Dec, 2002 Bottle conditioned. Big head. Slightly sharp, suggesting poor conditioning. Light fruit base with light hops. [2.1]omhper (25538) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 21, 2002
March, 2011 Included by mistake by my local Spoon as part of the JDW Spring festival. Sweetish beer. Good drinking stuff with an agreeable balance of malt and hops.
Sampled cask conditioned at GBBF.
Amber coloured. Flowery aroma. Rather malty and medium sweet. Well balanced with medium bitterness.
